Four staples for summer 2022
Summer 2022 is well and truly in full swing, so there’s no reason for your outfits to be stuck in the cooler seasons. We love having the opportunity to change up what we’re wearing when the season changes, it’s always fun to experiment with your clothes rather than constantly wear the same thing. A new season brings with it a new chance to wear different outfits, whether that be something new or a favourite you’ve brought back from last year.
We’ve been observing the looks so far this summer and have put together a short list of the top four things we think you need in your wardrobe this summer!
Co-ord
Co-ords continue to be a staple for the summer season. They’re matching styles make it so easy to have a put together outfit with minimal effort, while looking like you’ve spent a long time organising what to wear. They’re perfect for all summer activities including festivals, holidays, and day trips. They come in trousers, shorts, skirts, basically anything you can think of - so you’re guaranteed to find something you love!
Midi skirt
If you’re wanting to wear a summery outfit, but don’t want to have too much of your legs on show, you must have a midi skirt! They’re the perfect in between length to give you enough of a breeze while covering up the majority of your legs. They also come in different materials and patterns, giving you the opportunity to find the perfect one for you. Simply match it with a simple t-shirt for an easy day look, or dress it up with heels and a tube top to hit the town at night.
Summer dress
If there’s ever a time to wear a floaty mini dress it’s in the summer time! Summer dresses come in so many different designs and styles, giving you the versatility to choose one that suits you. The best part is they’re so easy to dress up and dress down, so you can wear it from day to night just by changing up the accessories you’re wearing. For an extra summery touch opt for a floral pattern.
Over shirt
Although we’re in summer there’s no hiding from the fact that the UK weather can be quite temperamental. A light over shirt is the perfect item to have for whenever you leave the house, just in case while you’re out there’s suddenly a bit of a breeze in the air. Not only are they practical but they look great, adding an extra bit of style to the outfit you have on rather than hiding it away like a jumper would.
