During your appointment, you'll be able to select a convenient collection date through our internal booking system. For urgent requests, we also provide same-day and next-day services. Once your fitting is scheduled, you'll receive a confirmation via text or email, including your order number and appointment details. When your item is ready, our system will automatically send you a notification. You can also check the progress of your order anytime using our online status tracker. If your garment is finished ahead of time, you'll be given the option to pick it up earlier.

You do not need to arrive at a specific time to collect your item. However, please ensure you have received an automated text message or email confirming your item is ready before visiting to try on your garments. If you have not received this message, please use the order status checker on our homepage and confirm that it says “Completed.” If it does not, kindly wait until it is marked as “Completed.” For any queries, you can call our customer service line at 0161 832 6420, operational from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm, Tuesday to Saturday, or email us at info@alterationsboutiquemanchester.co.uk.

We offer convenient delivery options to suit your schedule. For £20, your item can be shipped via DPD with next-day delivery available Monday through Friday. Once your parcel is dispatched, DPD will send you a text message confirming the delivery date along with a one-hour time window, so you’ll know exactly when to expect it. If you need your item sooner, we also provide same-day delivery within a 5-mile radius of our boutique for £50.

For urgent requests, we provide same-day and next-day alteration services to ensure your garment is ready without delay. Just let us know your timeline during your visit, and we’ll prioritise your order to meet your needs promptly and efficiently.

Please note that our services are limited to tailoring and alterations. We do not offer garment cleaning, nor are we able to suggest providers for this service. Thank you for your understanding.

We accept Apple Pay, most Debit cards and Credit cards.

You can use the Order Status checker When we create your order during your first visit, our computer system will send you an automated text/email confirming your order number and fitting or collection date. Once your item is ready for collection, our system will automatically send you a text/email to notify you that your order is ready. This means that if we finish the work ahead of schedule, you will have the option to collect your order sooner.

Absolutely - you can change the fitting date yourself online using the change appointment link or you can send us an email and we can do it for you.

If you want to change your order - you should contact as soon as possible by email or phone. Despite us agreeing on a collection date with you we may start the work immediately after the order is taken so changes are not always possible if we have already started the work.

Unfortunately, we do not permit the consumption of food and drink at the appointment due to the risk of spillage which can make contact with clothing.

We understand you have a busy life but we recommend you try on your garments when you collect so that we can be absolutely sure everything is correct. If you do not have the time you can return within 14 days and we will repeat the work for you free of charge. Note that we will only repeat the work agreed on your order form.

The customer is under an obligation to collect their garment(s) on the agreed collection date stated on their order form. If you want to change the collection date you can do so by using the change appointment link. Uncollected items may be disposed of after 90 days from the agreed collection date. Alterations Boutique Ltd, in such an event, will take reasonable steps to contact the customer using the contact details provided at the time the order was placed. If we are unable to contact the customer, we will not be held liable for any loss the customer may suffer.

Yes - you can send a courier or friend to collect your order. They should provide your order number, name and telephone number or we will be unable to release the order to them. Please note we recommend you collect the order yourself so you can check the order has been carried out correctly in accordance with your instructions. If you cannot you may return the items to re-altered or repaired within 14 days from the time of collection.

If you're unable to visit our boutique in person, we offer a convenient postal service for repairs only. Please note that we do not provide alterations by mail, as precise measurements must be taken by our trained tailors during a fitting.

To use our repair-by-post service, simply follow these steps:

Send Your Garment: Post your item to Alterations Boutique Manchester, 14 Royal Exchange Arcade, Manchester, M2 7EA using a tracked delivery method. Be sure to include a cover letter with your contact information and a detailed description of the repairs required.

Assessment and Quote: Once we receive your garment, we’ll evaluate the work needed and get in touch with a quote. Upon your approval, we’ll begin the repairs.

Return Delivery: After the work is complete, we’ll ship your item back to you. Delivery charges apply, and you can choose between standard or express options.
